FOR THE FIRST TIME
Step 1. Attend training at an accredited driving school
step 2. The driving school will then present you to a vehicle inspection officer v.i.o for a driving test.
step3. Pass the driving test and obtain a driving proficiency from the vehicle inspection officer.
step4.fill and complete the drivers licence form at the drivers licence centre
step5. pay the licence fee online or at the bank.
step6. present your application form to the board of internal revenue officer and v.i.o at the drivers licence centre. note that the (B.I.R) office is at the same registration office.
RENEWING A DRIVERS LICENCE
If you already had a licence and you want to renew it, maybe because it has expired or you lost it...
step1.Aply online at www.nigeriadriverslicence.org or in person at a driver's licence centre in Nigeria.
step2. pay the licence fee online or at bank.
step3 present your application form to the board of internal revenue officer and the vehicle inspection officer at the driver licence centre for endorsement.
step4. you will be referred to the Federal Road Safety Corps Officer at the drivers licence centre for biometric data capture.
step5. you Will be given a temporary drivers licence which is valid for 60 days.
step6. pick up the original driver's licence at the board of internal revenues office.
