Migrant need to be treated with care and respect.V.P OSINBAJO

In an event in Abuja, the Federal Capital of Nigeia Professor Yemi Osinbajo highlighted that, there is need to treat migrant with some form of care and respect becouse most of them were forced out of their home by conflict.


 while addressing groups of experts on migrant issues at an anual Migrant Dialogue in the Abuja, professor Osinbajo said that the internal conflicts and terrorist activities in some countries were largely responsible for cases of forced migration.

He therefore, advised the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to ensure proper documentation of migrants across the world.

The Federal Commissioner of the National Commission For Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Sadiya Farouq, who also addresed the spoke at the event also highlighted the need for a holistic approach to issues of migration.

At the event!, the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Eric Mayoraz, pledged to support Nigeria in addressing challenges of migration.
