10 people dead by gun attacks in the Jordanian city of Karak a Canadian tourist and at least four police officers were killed.
according to reports an unidentified gunmen opened fire on two police patrols before fleeing to an ancient hilltop castle and attacking a police station there,
Several tourists were trapped in the castle but they were later freed and police were in a shoot out with gunmen till night fell.
Nobody or group has claimed responsibility for the attacks which left some of 27 people wounded.
witness said the gunmen were shooting around even at passers by.
“Police and security forces surrounded the castle and launched an operation to hunt down the gunmen.
The events began earlier in the day with a shoot-out between police and armed men at a house near Karak. The gunmen then fled by car into the city.
No report of any arrest made.
