The United Nations security council hold an emergency meeting over the escalating situation in Aleppo. mean while people who are trapped in the city tweets desperate messages about atrocities being committed by government fighters.
UN spoke person to Syria has warned that any body who is responsible for committing atrocities will be held accountable, he said he hopes the conflict ends soon so humanitarian work can commence. read full statement below,
"""the last 24 hours has been the most dramatic so far in this bloody and horrific battle of Aleppo, we have had reports all night and up till this moment from civil society activist, from humanitarian workers, from civilians that horrible things have happened to the civilian population, that people are under rubble, unable to escape, and that militias has don terrible things to civilians. but we can not verify and of this because we have not been able to be there. we do not have access to this areas, but today we tried to organise a safe evacuation and provide assistance to the people."
some of the people who were trapped in the city posted a message which they described as "may be their last massage accusing the government fighters of executing civilians who are supporters of opposition fighter.
