Osun state governor Rauf Aregbesola assured herbalist of his commitment to promote indigenous mean of healing through the inaguation of board of traditional medicine in the state.
Aregbesola said the traditional medicine has been of tremendous help to the black race.
Dr Rafin Kusamotu who represented the Governor, said the Osun State government would help in standardising the practise in the interest of the well being of the people of the state.
Aregbesola also ask herbalist to practise proper hygienic method in preparation of herbs meant for human consumption to prevent avoidable diseases

Esho, said the selection of members of the board was based on
merit and he called for the cooperation of the herbalists.
Chairman of the board, Chief Kayode Esuleke, told his colleagues to
pay the sum of 5,000 Naira as practicing fees, as stipulated by the
state government so as to obtain the license to operate.
